Message The ITR owner for some gh3y reason decided to put some 17" heavy (OK, not that heavy, but heavier than stock) Motegi racing wheels on his car. My friend in the Prelude bought some Racing Hart CP-35s (<15 lbs. in a 17" wheel). Both of them ran the same tires (Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712s) on the aftermarket wheels, and I think had the same stock tires as well (Potenza S02s, IIRC). When they ran against each other on their stock wheels, the ITR consistently pulled a couple of cars by the end of 3rd. On the aftermarket wheels, the Prelude actually pulled a half length on the ITR, consistently. I'd say heavy wheels can definitely make a difference.

Rule #1 - There's always a bastard!
